I'd rather invest in the S&P500 than buy a place in Tokyo. The pay in Japan is not great and I don't think you can stay in Japan for longer than 3 months without a work visa or a Japanese passport. It's definitely a great country for traveling but I wouldn't want to live there unless I could find a job that paid $60,000 per year.

I didn't really encounter any racial problems. I'm sure blacks would run into more problems. I know a half Japanese half Polish woman who says she felt like she was always being excluded when she lived in Japan.

My aunt and uncle live in Austin, Texas and I grew up in Dallas. We visited them in Austin about 2 or 3 times a year and we'd usually have lunch at the Schlotzsky's in Waco. Other than that I know Waco is famous for Baylor University and the Dr Pepper museum. There was also some huge explosion there a few years ago and there was a shootout between rival motorcycle gangs. It's also where the Branch Davidians lived.

There isn't a larger condemnation of a piece of media for me than telling me it influenced Age of Sigmar.
I don't have an opinion about Age of Sigmar one way or the other. I read the Wiki article and it mentioned Moorcock as a source of inspiration.

I got the orc and human starter pack when I was like 11. I think that was Fantasy also known as Old World. I'm not really sure what the difference is between that and AoS. My friend says the skaven almost devoured everything in the world until King Sigmar put them into check. I can't be bothered to Google simple lore so I assume he is correct.

By the way I ordered an Orc Kill Team and my buddy and I glued them and primed them yesterday . Those are the first GW minis I've bought in more than 20 years.

The developers of Warhammer Age of Sigmar were influenced by Moorcock. That is is a fact that can no more easily be denied than the reality of gravity.

I have made a KILLING with Bitcoin. Enough to buy a modestly sized house in Waco, Texas.

What's going on in NYC? I saw some headline about the National Guard being deployed in the subway. Is there a crime wave or something?

Dallas, Texas is more expensive than Tokyo. As far as I know, NYC is significantly more expensive than Dallas.

According to Wikipedia, Osaka is the only place in Japan to make it on to the top ten list of  costliest cities. I don't even know if I believe these statistics because Osaka was the cheapest city I visited in Japan.

Bitcoin is crashing. I am going to buy $500 per week until it goes over $50,000 again.
It's finally over 50 grand.

Smart. Don't forget to buy some Ethereum too. Me and ZIGS made thousands of dollars off it
I bought my first Ethereum a few days ago.

I bought a lot of Bitcoin after FTX went belly up and I think it's going to go way up.

I pretty much agree. The problem is that the cost of living is too high and I don't want to share an apartment with roommates. I'd probably rather live in Tokyo because it is just as historic and also significantly cheaper.

I also liked Osaka. If I had to choose a city in Japan to live in I'd probably choose Osaka. But there isn't much for tourists to do there.

I'll probably go again with my parents in August. If you decide to travel during that time then we can maybe meet up for lunch.

The train cars are probably new. What I meant to say is that the stations felt old to me. Obviously they were built to last for a long time and the fact that they were built in the 70s doesn't affect functionality.
