UFC 158

Well the UFC 158 is tomorrow. Hope GSP wins.

Read this yucky comment and I was like "who cares, his opinion sucks":

I can’t believe I am about to type this: A Nick Diaz victory over Georges St. Pierre would be the best thing for the UFC Welterweight division. As an unabashed, almost stalkerish fanboy of GSP, I should not have to tell you how difficult that was to write. But God Damn, that was not easy to write.

With the exception of the 378 days that were the Matt Serra Era (or the Matt Serra Terror Era), GSP has ruled the welterweight division dating back to November of 2006. Let that sink in for just a second. Serra’s reign withstanding, St. Pierre has been the champ since Borat was in theaters and Justin Timberlake was on the top of the Billboard charts. Let me put it another way: In November of 2006, Tim “The Diet Machine” Sylvia was the Heavyweight Champion and Sean Sherk was the lightweight title holder. Are those guys even still alive? There is no way of knowing. Needless to say, St. Pierre has had a pretty damn good run thus far and it might be time for a temporary change of pace, even though he has been an excellent ambassador for the sport of MMA.

GSP has put a great face on MMA in taking away the conception of human cock-fighting. Was also named Canadian athlete of the year three different times. (Also likes his stuffed unicorn.)

GSP will win for sure, as long as he's been practicing the kick Joe Rogan taught him

I don't start the UFC / Boxing argument ever because it never goes well, but we all know real men watch/train in boxing , where the corruption is done the correct, traditional, old fashioned way. UFC is the bandwagon tough guy poo poo.   :uk:

i would much rather watch terrible street fights on youtube all day because they generally skip all the fluff and get right down to 2 people dry humping each other to the ground until someone gets one good punch in

Ju-Jitsu fights may look gayer, but better fighters than boxers.

Boxing is on the way out in terms of popularity and as an opportunity for minorities to make tons of money in the sporting world, but UFC can't fully replace it because it's still banned from major markets like NYC and the Madison Square Garden venue. American football still reigns supreme as the USA's modern gladitorial bloodsport.

Mike Tyson was the last interesting boxer.

I'm not interested in Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao.
I might be interested in Diceman when he goes pro but that's it
