I hate signing into a forum after a long hiatus or vacation and seeing a bunch of new, uninteresting posts. About 10 pages worth actually.

Midnight Race Club: Supercharged!, despite being made by Stellar Stone, just plain sucks. Compared to BROTRR, they added in so many limitations that the game just isn't fun anymore. For one, the tracks are the same ones from BROTRR. I know you shouldn't change perfection, but if I wanted to drive through Forgotten Road I'd play Big Rigs, not MRC. And what's even worse is that the maps seem smaller because you cannot drive over anything. Due to MRC's 'realistic' physics you are restricted to staying on the main path. If you hit anything, you stop immediately. This becomes frustrating while in Small Town Road when signs placed in the middle of the road stop me immediately, therefore becoming ultimate traffic stoppers. It's just unfun to follow the main path. The game becomes too linear and boring. After an hour you've already seen everything the game has to offer, but with Big Rigs there is so much more to do due to less limitations, if any. And finally I come to the vehicles. They are all uninspired and ugly. If I wanted a wide variety of vehicles, I'd play GTA or something. Big Rigs had 4 simple vehicles, and it didn't matter which one you used anyways as they all controlled the same. They are just meant to look aesthetically pleasing, but in MCR they look ugly, especially with the headlights sticking far out. In Big Rigs the headlights looked correctly placed on your rig but in MRC they float behind you, as if to distract you from the ugly game you're playing. Yes, the game has horrible graphics. Big Rigs evened out graphics and performance, and for the time everything was great. But MRC, released a year later, had the same graphics and performance capabilities. The game used the Big Rigs engine with modified physics, but they didn't modify the graphics, frame rate, or loading times. They couldn't keep up with the advancing technology so they practically kept it all the same. By that time we had games with much better graphics on PC running just as good if not better, so there is no excuse other than laziness or carelessness. I give this game a 2/10 because despite being a bad game and a bad sequel, it does remain faithful to it's classic predecessor.
