worked through the last few cans with some leftover chinese takeout rice.  sardines and white rice is a tough combo to beat, might just have to make that a regular thing

most of the cans in that batch didn't wow me, they were all pretty much the same in terms of texture and flavor, so I figured they would all be the same.  but the Sea Tales really blew me away, amazing flavor, great mouthfeel, just all around a joy to eat.  They were much pricier than the rest but now I see why.  now I'm looking forward to discovering other standouts

at this point I mostly get the Sea Tales or Polastrini, always in spicy olive oil.  everything more expensive (like Fishwife) is indistinguishable, and it's hard to find anything cheaper that's MSC or whatever

YouTube recommended this guy's channel. He hasn't made it big yet but it's the first channel dedicated to canned fish as far as I know.

I am going to watch more of his videos and start eating sardines again.

I tried cracking open a can of Matiz this morning, my first in a long time, but the pull tab broke off. So I grabbed a different can and opened it: anchovies. Rough morning.
