how do you put these on if you downloaded the games from rapid share. Its not an iso, I believe its an exe file.

Hey, I'm not really into Rigism, but i am into hacking and modding, and i thought i could contribute some stuff i discovered, whether, i'm into rigism, WINNER or LOSER, you can definitly learn and benefit from this stuff i figured out about big rigs,
example: i found out how to add terrain textures to the game, not just modifying existing ones, you can add new textures, including the alpha channel used to post them by openning the Terrain.def file using notepad
 
you'll notice that the left bitmap is the texture, and the right bitmap is the alpha channel used to display where each terrain goes, it seems the number of the far right is the psi (pixels per square inch) or something similar a smaller number is a smaller psi, which means if you want the texture to be really big on the map, a lower psi is required, doing so will make the picture appear big, but obviously show at a lower resolution, for high res graphics, you need a really big image, or a lower psi, bigger image will cover more terrain, small image will cover less, higher psi will cover less terain, with higher resolution, lower psi will cover more terrrain at lower resolution also the order you type the terrains in on the Terrain.def file is important, textures on the top get drawn first, then the next gets drawn on top of that, then the next gets drawn on top of that one, and so on. the bet way to create the textures themselves is in photoshop i've know that photoshop is great for making and modding games much better than mspaint, because it supports layers and transparency, rotate parts of the image,  make many different types of files, and if you know how, you can use photoshop to create much more optimized images to reduce file size(the image i used is a 64 color png, but i got it to have the quality of a 256 color, same quality with less colors, means smaller quality with smaller file size) and automate it to apply changes like resizing and saving multiple files like 150 of them in just a few clicks, and you can do way more making it way esier to edit arount than mspaint. any way to create the bitmaps in photoshop, you must have the width equal to the height for it to display color correctly, to be safe i use something general like 256 X 256, 512 X 512 or 1024 X 1024. also the file must be saved as a 24-bit color bitmap, do this by going to save as select bitmap, then adjusting the options that pop up, when saving as a 24-bit color bitmap make sure the flip row order option is unchecked or big rigs will crash, also do not save the bitmap in 8-bit or 32-bit or the textures wont show up on bigrigs

the font's called brutal tooth, it's sort of a death metal font, it says "my new terrain", thought the font was cool, also speaking of modding, i created a mod for the game, inside is a modified carz.exe file, you know that the backgound of the exe icon is white, well i changed it to look transparent, note that the mod also includes my modified textures, i've also included a background of the YOU"RE WINNER trophy, i made out of the Win.bmp and Win_a.bmp files from the game using photoshop. one bmp is the texture itself and the other is the alpha channel for transparency, it was easy for me to put them together into a png file

7-zip is kinda like winrar only better and free, the better part is that 7z files (the archive format of 7-zip) compresses and decompresses faster than rar files and has a higher compression ratio, and the good news is that 7-zip still opens rar files
