Yep just as I suspected this game is very sick, like a cross between Binding of Isaac and Geometry Wars.

I haven't played it yet but it seems like a sci-fi Nuclear Throne that isn't as good.  Am I wrong?

Well NT definitely has a better art style THAT'S for sure, but as you guys know from WazHack I am always willing to look past art style for a fun game!
You are right the 2 games are similar, but what makes Starward Rogue stand out to me is:

1) More interesting rooms
2) True bullet hell like a real shmup

imo we shouldn't worry about which game is "better" because we should all be playing both games 24/7 anyway

That wouldn't leave much time for BROTRR tho...

this game even borrows WazHack's "time only moves forward when you do" mechanic. So sick!

one of my favorite games let you be a raptor, so i'm actually very excited about this
