Shampoo: I don't really have a favorite but I like the Dove brand. Smells good and rinses out well.

Conditioner: I use this a few times a week to make my hair softer and more manageable.

Face wash: My daily face wash. This is a pretty awesome product. Looks shiny and it's helped to clear up my skin dramatically.

Face scrub: I use this once or twice a week when my face needs a good scrub. Made of walnut shells so it's too harsh to use every day.

Hair product: Saw this by chance at a store and bought it. Smells decent and gives my hair volume and definition but at the same time keeping it flexible.

Deodorant: Smells musky like a manly man

oh yeah
Body Wash: got this cheap in a 3 pack. It smells pretty good: like strawberry with a bit of citrus.

I stopped using conditioner when I read the back of the bottle finally and tried looking up all of the ingredients.  Didn't get very far.  I think it was making my dandruff worse too.

Degree deodorant, as effective as it is, is ruining my shirt armpits and making my pits itch.  Anyone know any effective alternatives?

I got some Dove antiperspirant once and it was so repugnant and damaged my clothing so fast I only used it a couple of times.

I normally agree but this is new or something.  I had to change halfway through Virginia, and the stuff I bought didn't work half as well as this.  Then again I basically base my purchases on how it smells so there's that.

hi cirus I've been thinking a lot about safety razor, but I can't really grow a full beard so I'm not sure if it's worth it. my Gillette razors last me a long time (a few months at least), but I still feel like I'm getting scroogled with the prices they charge!!! will I really nick myself the first time? if so why do they call it a"SAFETY" razor?? thanks

OKAY HERE ARE THE SHAVING THINGS I BOUGHT

Razor -- Edwin Jagger De86bl Faux Ebony Double Edge Safety Razor, Black -- $32.29

This thing is solid and heavy.  It is about the same size as a disposable razor but so much more manly-feeling.  I haven't used any other ones so I don't really know how to compare them but this one is really good so just go with that.  I guess if I had to pick a complaint it's that the handle is smooth so it can be kind of slick but not really.  Also the Derby blades aren't the best.

Soap -- Arko Shaving Soap Stick -- $4.70

This is better than the Proraso I mentioned on the first post, at least for these razors.  It's cheap at least and lathers better than the Proraso so I recommend getting it.

Brush -- Eco Tools Bamboo Finishing Kabuki Brush -- $7.49

Some dude on reddit recommended this and I have never used another brush but this is cheap so whatever.  It works so that's cool.

Blades -- 32 Blade Sampler -- $25.00

Sampling blades is cool so why not get a pack!

Nick Sealant -- Clubman Pinaud Dab-On Nick Relief -- $3.09

After you nick yourself 5-8 times during your first few DE experiences, put this on them to get a very painful sting that stops all the bleeding.  Cool!

Alum Block -- Barber Alum -- $6.00

You rub this on your face after shaving and it makes your skin smooth and stuff.  I guess this is a problem for people with sensitive skin like me but it works so that's just great.

Bought some aftershave samples from http://www.saintcharlesshave.com/ but they haven't come yet so I can't review that.

Enjoy!!

I can't grow a full beard either but it still works wonders compared to cheap disposable ones.  You'll probably nick yourself the first few times but I haven't seen blood in months now, it's a quick thing to learn.
