Hi BROTRRs   :roddy:

I listen to a lot of metal :headbang: , and was wondering if anyone here has any insight into what the best music equalizer settings are for it.  In general, i've heard that a "U shape" is best, i.e:

   -                                                   -
   -                                                   -
   -            -                         -            -
   -            -                         -            -
   -            -            -            -            -
BASS                                           TREBLE

...where no setting goes into the negatives.  I tend to use this but reduce the treble by perhaps half of the above.

What settings do you use?

Flat is always the best, anything else distorts it.

it's flat on my computer, but I have a BASS MONSTER at my feet so I'm pretty sure there's more bass than usual

OH ALSO thinking about cars, I just remembered that when I'm in my car, I use the ROCK setting on my speakers. I think it's essentially what skrag has there in the first post but WHO KNOWS cars are a mystery

V shape is always good in cars because bass makes you drive faster (better)
