As somebody who drinks 4 cups of coffee per day I can confirm it works

coffee peaks in effectiveness in exponentially less time and is followed by an exponentially more severe crash so you just have to keep drinking another coffee just as you pass the cusp of tiredness.  Soon you'll have to be drinking coffee nonstop, I recommend one of those beer hats.

I've been drinking coffee for so many years that it has absolutely no effect on me except to help me wake up very first thing in the morning. The rest of the day it is just something hot.. No buzz or anything. Used to be one cup would wire me.
