Hi retro gamer Cirus, I heard you were interested in MK808B, so I did some performance tests with RetroArch

pcsx_reARMed (PS1)
This core runs games full speed at standard resolution. With enhanced resolution turned on MGS1 ran at about 50 FPS.
You really need a Nvidia Shield or iPad 4 to run enhanced resolution at full speed.

MGS1 without enhanced resolution (full speed)

MGS1 with enhanced resolution+speedhack and frameskip=1 (playable)

wow what a difference!

FCEUmm (NES)
This core runs games full speed no problem

Nestopia (NES)
This core is a bit more accurate than FCEUmm and also runs full speed

Gambatte (Gameboy/Gameboy Color)
Runs full speed no problem

Genesis Plus GX (Genesis/Master System/CD)
This is a great emulator from the Wii. Runs full speed wow

Picodrive (Genesis/Master System/CD/32X)
Genesis, Master System, and CD games run full speed. 32X also runs full speed for the most part, except Virtua Fighter 32X (most demanding game), which ran about 55 FPS

NXEngine (open-source Cavestory Engine clone/rewrite)
Full speed ofc

MAME 2003 (Arcade)
The whole point of this core is to run Mortal Kombat 2/3 at full speed, but sadly it fails to do that here. I only got about 35-45 FPS in MK2 with the speedhack enabled. Many other games like Metal Slug and Simpsons arcade run full speed though!

Final Burn Alpha (Arcade)
CPS1/CPS2 games run full speed at least

Prboom (Doom Engine)
Full speed ofc

Snes9x-NEXT (SNES)
Games that don't use a co-processor chip in the cart (most games) will run full speed. Sadly Yoshi's Island only ran at about 50 FPS. This might be a regression, cos I seem to remember running this game at full speed before... hmmm

For best results use Android 4.1, turn off WIFI, bluetooth (if not using it), Google Sync crap, and Google Play auto-update.
Also use static syncing in RetroArch (Video Options>Turn off threaded driver, Calibrate Refresh Rate)

I'm getting even worse performance there with frameskip=0
With frameskip=auto it is pretty good, but I don't consider that full speed.

Are you on 4.1 or 4.2?

4.1 finless. I never bother changing the frameskip, but stunt race FX frame rate on original hardware isn't even good,  but still impressive for the time. It's the only super FX game I have played on it.  Are you running yoshi's island?
