It was between that and the Savu, but I chose this one because it was cheaper ($30).

But why Roccat?  Well because they have semi-official Linux tools to setup the macros and LEDS, which was a huge selling point for me. Also voice feedback on dpi/profile change is pretty cool I'm hoping I can hack it to play DMX sounds (Y)

I've heard mixed things about the quality of roccat products, but I got the 3 YEAR SQUARE TRADE WARRANTY so I should be OK probably.

I'm pretty excited I already set up a WazHack profile that's going to make me play better/faster

    well go ahead and recommend a good cheap gaming mouse and maybe i'll get it when this one breaks

    • Customizable LEDs a plus (6 different colors MINIMUM)
    • Must have pause button (yeah I want that now)
    • Use marketing buzzwords to help me understand why it's good

Mouse arrived today (sunday delivery wow!!)

I don't really know poo poo about gaming mice, but as an average steev my first impressions of this mouse are very good!!
It doesn't feel cheap at all

Size/shape is perfect for my mid-sized hands

I did a quick test in Killing Floor and I got ~90% more headshots!
800/1600 dpi seems to be my preferred setting, 3200 is interpolated

The Linux software for this mouse is very good and has all of the features of the Windows software EXCEPT for roccat's mouse achievements system
:unhappy: I might have to switch to Windows to use that

Overall good purchase, A+++++++++++++++







(upgrading from a crappy Logitech m100)
