I mean, I've always been a fan of the Resident Evil series. I just wanted to know what my fellow WINNERs thoughts were on the way it seems to be going. Resident Evil 4 was obviously a step in a different direction, going from survival horror to a more action adventure feel.

I personally enjoyed Resident Evil 4, but I'm willing to admit that it didn't feel like a Resident Evil. Ammo was everywhere, it didn't really scare me at all, and the emphasis was more on action and less on actually SURVIVING. Still, I had fun.

With the new preview of Resident Evil 5 hitting the interwebz, it's clear that Capcom is going to continue with their more action oriented style of gameplay. At least from what I can tell. But is that a good thing?

In short, I'm asking:

The step the Resident Evil series is taking.  or  ?

 , though I personally like both styles of gameplay.

 

I've liked all the Resident Evils so far, so I assume I'm going to like the new one.

RE4 was the only Resident Evil I played.

all the RE games were boring to me except for 4

Never played any of the RE games except a few minutes of the first one on the pee ess singlah

I've played the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Code Veronica, and 4th.  I enjoyed them all.  I didn't play the 4th one until it was a Greatest Hits, don't know why I waited so long :P.  The Riot Gun was hawt!
