Feel free to delete this thread if there is another like it, but I wanted to know what apps you have setup on your pi. I want your best and most illegal streaming apps by name only!

There are just 2 that I'm using:

Icefilms

AND

Free Cable by bluecop

Icefilms is better, IMO. It has a lot more content I think and it runs faster on the R-Pi.
When it asks if you want to download the metadata container say "NO!!!" it makes the addon too slow on the Pi

Steev do you have a working Netflix plug in? I don't remember if there is one out there or not.

There's no way to watch Netflix on the R-Pi currently.

The Rasplex guys are working on it supposedly.

It's a consequence of Netflix using Silverlight.  Netflix isn't natively supported on Linux at all.

Netflix already uses HTML5 video on the Chromebooks, but it requires some special DRM plugin that's baked into Chrome OS, so it won't work on regular GNU/Linux.
Google recently started implementing the same DRM in the Chrome browser, though, so I guess Netflix will come to Chrome eventually.

I don't care, tho, cuz as long as they make it inconvenient for me I can steal all the movies without feeling like a bad person

m8s download the "Amber" skin for your RPi it is much more beautiful than the default skin and still runs smoothly

Version that supports Kodi 14/Helix:
https://github.com/pecinko/skin.amber/archive/master.zip

scp master.zip root@openelec:

Settings>Add-ons>Install from zip file

hello m8s I'm here to review the Flirc Raspberry Pi B+ case for RPi media centres. This case is very nice, made out of beautiful aluminum just like Coors Light. Also like Coors Light, this case has a built-in heatsink and wide mouth ventilation to keep your RPi as cold as the rockies. I'm gonna see how high I can overclock this thing. I've already been running my RPi at 1GHz (1000/500/600) for a week now and it's been stable

Cons:
  • Case doesn't turn blue

Overall still a very, very nice case :dope:
