Dear Cirus,

I was wondering if you noticed significant performance improvements while using the R-Pi with a class 10 sdcard??
I have started using my Pi for desktop stuff like browsing the web while playing games on my PS3 (PS3 won't let you browse the web and play a game at the same time!!)

Thanks.

Your friend,
Steev

It is much faster than my other SD card was.  If you look around you should be able to get them for the same price as slower cards.

You need just the kernel and bootloader files on the sdcard.

If you set root=/dev/sdaX in cmdline.txt it will load the rest of the system from a USB drive.

Not class 10 but random read/write performance is said to be very good!!

They are bundling these Samsung cards with RPis now
