Can't wait to be disappointed by the fact that everybody in the US will immediately stop caring about the sport again once the US disappoints in a weak group and draws against average African teams and complains about the refereeing.

But I'm hoping that Landon Donovan will lead the team at least to the quarter finals.  Jay Leno may interview them. 

But Dempsey is our hero now.. Donovan was so a few years ago :(

I don't want to hate on England but they really are not a good team on the international level. Maybe Roy can turn it around? I don't know. I feel bad though because at least in the US we expect to do poorly, but in England they somehow think they are going to win the world cup every time. Then they crucify people when they don't.

This just in Brazil is forcing treatment on crack addicts that live on the street ahead of the World Cup. If they see you and deem you "Helpless" they can arrest you and force you into a rehab clinic. Cleaning up that image for the World Cup, Ordem E Progresso, Viado, ETC

England is terrible, hopefully Germany can make a strong run they have a good group with a lot of promising youth.  will Götze finally crack the starting 11, i hope so

I love watching the German team, it makes me think of a huge industrial factory making heavy machinery because it is so imposing and precise

also they are all nazis which is cool

I'm sure they will use Gotze, German National Team is notoriously biased towards players that play in the German League.
