People are saying that Moyes is all to blame but I don't really think that's fair. The squad just isn't very good and Fergie was great at stealing close matches last year. But I am still more than thrilled that Sunderland could go into Old Trafford and get through to the final. Poyet is a genius and I love what he did during the window.

second "friendly" played, England vs Ecuador, ended 2-2.  They've got a couple of good strikers and our defence is still poo poo, luckily so was their's.  Stupid tackle by Sterling got himself and the guy he tackled red-carded, the other guy got up and slapped him or something.

Although Roy Hodgson was experimenting with the line-up, England look very shakey as they go on the final stretch to the world cup.  Barkley did a brilliant run which finished with Rickie Lambert hitting the net, he looked far better than Rooney up front who looks like a slow old man these days.

last friendly is vs Honduras

0-0 draw vs Honduras.  Match was stopped for 30 minutes because of rain, Honduras were cheating bastards, we took loads of shots but barely any were on target.  Honduras played with 10 men for the last 20 minutes because of one foul too many from them, but we still couldn't score.

I've actually got high hopes for our opening match against Italy.  They recently played a friendly against Luxembourg, one of the worst teams in the world (ranked 112th).  1-1 draw!  There's conflict between their manager and players, for him dropping a good player from their team.  Also, in that opening match we sold all of our tickets to England supporters (2500), whereas Italy only sold a measily 200 to their own fans and had to send the rest of the tickets back!

So despite how badly we've recently played, I think Italy may be worse.
