Even so, do I deserve to have my computer infected?

Yes. Thankfully for you, however, there is no virus included with Air Attack 32. You can examine all of the source code.

I checked the code, but I can't read it.
I think you obfuscated it to hide malicious code.

Thunder, perhaps you could, y'know, post the project and it's source code on sourceforge or github, it'd be 100x easier and the source code wouldn't be jumbled. Just use SVN, Git, Mercuial, Gerrit, whatever. Or post it in HTML, I don't care, but I'd like to examine the source code before downloading.

Obfuscated? You must be kidding me! Why would I go through all the trouble when I could just compile binaries with different source code?

Relax. Github won't make it any more secure. Besides, this is a very small project. You can download the zip file and check the source code without running anything.

It's not a virus but it does happen to ping you constantly when opening airattack-windows.bat

===NOTE===
The actual .exe application is fine, runs ok with no viruses. Game is fun but all you have to do is stay in the middle and fire.

You can make the laser image narrower, making the game more challenging.

Now I suspect you did just that!

I don't get why nobody seems to think it is safe. If you don't think it's safe, then don't run the application, but there's no harm done whatsoever.

You want to trust me? You want a first-party guarantee? Well, OK. Here it is:

All of the files in there make up a safe, normal fun game except one. This one special file is not a virus, but it does ping yourewinner's server repeatedly and fills up your screen with black boxes. It's the batch file that is supposed to open the game on Windows. Actually, you don't need this file at all. It's only 3 lines long.

So, the lesson here is that you should always read batch files before double-clicking on them. I am not responsible for you guys not knowing how to computer.
