Anyone played it yet? I tried the demo and it seemed like a pretty standard indie game.

I was in love with Fez until 3 years ago.  Then they delayed it.  Then they announced it wasn't even going to be on PC after all.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.  Then they delayed it again.

And now it's released and it does indeed look like a generic indie game because a dozen other developers aped their neato ideas in the time it took them to release a game that was already finished basically.  I hear there's this really deep metagame underneath it all but who the unicorn cares?

Seeing as there is no story or gameplay to speak of beyond jumping I doubt that is the case.

But seriously I just wanted to say its great that there is one team of reviewers willing to take the piss out of these "indie" people who get treated like gods because they make everything pixelated. They're more honest than any major review site.
