This is basically an open source alternative to other games of the genre. Here are the improvements.
  • Actually finish the game. It'll probably be taking a lot of work.
  • Use a lot of pop culture references. This game will probably be needing a lot of these!
  • Put the source code in the public domain.

If you plan to remake Big Rigs, you are setting yourself up for an entire city's worth of feces to dump on your head.

First of all, vehicle physics. Does Big Rigs have physics? Why, yes it does, but not Newtonian physics. It has something more like "vehicle magnet physics". The only "free" engine that I have seen that does such poo pooty great vehicle physics is Dim3. To save you the trouble of downloading the content pack and hunting down all of the missing DLLs, I have put together a convenient package of the latest release. If you know JavaScript and have months of time to waste, you can make your poo pooty unofficial Big Rigs sequel.
