What's up guys I got drunk and installed this tonight just so I could treat it like the final thing and trash it on the forum

Well, I was peasantly surprised, this version of Windows is a lot more usable than the previous versions! For example you can now snap windows to ALL 4 CORNERS of the screen just like in KDE or a tiling window manager! If you have 2 windows open, you can finally scroll the unfocused one without using hacks like 'WizMouse'!! The command prompt finally supports Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V keyboard shortcuts!! And of course Virtual Desktops are nice!!

Here comes the bad part though, WATCH OUT!!

My WazHack performance has PLUMMETED!! I'm using the latest Intel drivers, I even activated the "high performance" power plan! Normally I can get 55+ fps on the "fantastic" preset in Wazhack, but here I only get 20 fps!!

Currently downloading BL2 and CS:GO...............

what do you want to know, upm8?

It is better, FLATTER, FASTER Windows 7. The metro apps are a lot better on the desktop now that you can run them windowed. More sexy and more secure (w/ sandboxing, etc) than the "legacy" win32 apps, I just wish there were MORE OF THEM!  Slightly annoying, some of them want you to scroll sideways but my scroll wheel doesn't go sideways, so I was forced to use the touchpad!! But the touchpad gestures feel much more responsive for me now. IDK why, but on Windows 7 it would sometimes take me multiple tries to get 2 finger scrolling to work!!

Overall I think it will be a good release for Windows 7 fans to upgrade to.

The only dealbreaker I saw was WazHack performance (other games I play ran fine), but I reported the issue to Microsoft so I'm sure they'll fix it ASAP!

Do you have any experience with Windows 8.1? Also I am too lazy to Google, is this the early dev build or a consumer alpha?

It is "Technical Preview for PC experts"
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-faq#faq=tab0

No, I never used 8.1. I used 8 briefly and didn't like it.

They brought back the awful start screen from the initial Windows 8 release?

The start screen is OFF by default (live tiles are pinned to the start menu), but there is an option to turn it back on.
