What is Big Rigs Online?
Big Rigs Online is a project undertaken by members of yourewinner.com, the world's leading Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing fansite, to pay tribute to the success of Stellar Stone's original work by including the ability for players to race online with other players. The result is gripping and action-packed racing across many diverse landscapes whilst enjoying the innovative gameplay introduced by Big Rigs. Players will have full freedom over their game world. This is not just a racing game.
The project began in late 2007 when a yourewinner.com member, X23, suggested the idea of Big Rigs Online. Another member, Conorkirk, offered to carry out the project. Over the next year Conorkirk worked dilligently on the monumental task of modifying the best game ever, but with Big Rigs' .SCO model format remaining a mystery to him he was unable to make it a reality. The project was over but the idea lived on, until midway through 2009 when an Thunder, an eager young programmer, revived the idea and an old Rigist, Khalad unlocked the BROTRR model format, opening a world of opportunities.Features:
Big Rigs Online will feature the famous and beloved Four Almighty Rigs who starred in the previous game, detailed to stunning realism. Each map from the original Big Rigs will be re-created with premium accuracy, giving players the chance to roam thousands of miles of gourgeously rendered highways and by-ways, completing the WINNER experience.All this will be provided along with connections to global fat-pipe superservers, allowing you to re-create the original Big Rigs experience over the internet with other players, as you race each other to haul your illegal cargo to the destination, or face off against the Ultimate Traffic Stopper - A Police Roadblock!
Additional Features Include:
- Realistic Grey Void, one of the most famous features from the original Big Rigs, allows players to travel out of the map and into empty space, offering an infinite gameplay world and endless hours of fun
- The return of a feature lost in the original Big Rigs, the addition of trailers to all vehicles. Now all Rigs can be optionally driven with their trailers, enhancing the realistic trucking experience further.
- Versatile multiplayer action, featuring in-game chat to bring the joys of CB radio to your own home. The current user limits are not known, pending further testing.

Big Rigs Online has currently been released in early alpha stage, online multiplayer exists but gameplay elements do not currently. Please remember that Big Rigs Online is a project undertaken by Khalad, a member of our forums who does this of his own accord for free and in his own time.
